I’m Ashley and I’m from the Show-Me state of Missouri. Which apparently derives from this quote “I come from a state that raises corn and cotton, cockleburs and Democrats, and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I’m from Missouri, and you have got to show me.” -Willard Duncan Vandiver…. who really knows but I think I like it.
A few things about me you may be interested in:
- I enjoy a good joke, strange but humorous people and a whole lot of coffee. The sunshine makes me happy but so does The Office… I’m pretty complex.
- I homeschool, which to most people means that me and the kids stay in our pajamas half the day, don’t actually do any learning and never leave the house. Only one of these things is correct…. its the PAJAMA’S people, we love pajamas here!
- People are a good thing to have around, friends are even better and family is untouchable. We have friends that have become family and I feel like our wolf pack is constantly growing… I couldn’t ask for more.
- We have a lot of faith, we need a lot of grace and every day is a new trial, discovery and adventure.

Sorry had some sick kids this week but planning on getting on this this weekend! Better late than never right:)
It’s totally okay! The good thing is that it doesn’t say you have to complete it within any time frame π
Hi! Thanks for the follow π
Your blog brings back so many sweet memories of the time when my kids were little. My oldest turns 30 tomorrow. Sigh. Seems like yesterday my little guy was running around the house in his dish towel cape, thwarting bad guys. β€
That definitely sounds like a day in our house, dish towel capes and bad guys. Goes way too fast that’s for sure!:/
Hi Ashley, I love your blog. I awarded you the Liebster Award, which is a cool little thing for newer bloggers with less than 200 followers, so we can all get to know each other and get out there in the blogging community! Thanks for the π on my blog. I enjoyed reading a little about your family…just precious! What a wonderful adventure you are experiencing right now. I loved when I was home with my 3 little girls..who are grown now π¦ What a gift from God to stay home, love this family and be the best you can be each day! I look forward to reading more.
Thank you! Looking forward to reading more of your blog. Though your girls are grown it looks like you guys are still making all sorts of beautiful memories! So inspiring to see, hope my kids and me are just as close one day.
I look forward to reading more of your blog. Great job!
Thank you!:)
PS., Thanks for reading my blog!
Wow. You are courageous to home-school! I’ve taught in schools and universities and I know that teaching so many different subjects at home to your kids is A LOT OF WORK. You are braver than I am π
Haha, I don’t know about that, I have read some of your blog posts and you seem pretty brave and adventurous to me!! Thank you though:)
Isn’t marvelous how different we all are, and how it enables us to see something that someone else does as amazing whereas we take our own experiences for granted. LOL Trust me homeschooling is too huge an undertaking for me! Hats off to YOU. π
That’s so true!!
Just stumbled across your blog and am enjoying it! You mentioned starting homeschooling, and I just wanted to give you a shout-out of encouragement! I’m fairly new to homeschooling too (within the last year or so), and am loving it. π Hope you continue to write and find encouragement through whatever you do!
Thank you! So far we are enjoying our first official year. Now my mind is consumed with trying new curriculum for next school year. π Glad you are enjoying it as well. Love hearing from others who homeschool. Such a great support system!
Agreed! Best wishes!
