The Storm that Scattered Many

Last night around 2 am I woke up by myself on the bottom bunk of my kids bunk bed. The storm outside had settled, the wind a silent whisper and the rain a gentle drumming. I faintly remembered stumbling out of bed and tripping over toys to get to my kids who were wailing in fright at the thunderous sounds of the storm.

And now here I lay, by myself. The nightlight blinding me as I look around for my little ones.

And the search began.

I head first to my room and poke my head inside where I found 2 sleeping cherubs gently snoring.

One was my 3 year old daughter, they other my 29 year old husband.

And so the search continued.

I peeked inside my littlest guy’s room and withdrew as soon as I heard his deep steady breaths from the crib! Oh such a sweet sound.

My oldest couldn’t be far… down the hall I roamed and as I turned the corner into our living room, my oldest was there sleeping like a baby with his fur baby! My heart pitter pattered and my swollen sleepy eyes smiled.

Oh a boy and his dog… who can separate!?!?

Gardening with Littles

Blog Post

Anybody else excited about getting their gardening on?!? Last year was our first year of gardening as a family and my kids really loved the idea of it but didn’t get involved like I had hoped… mainly my fault.

So this year we are making a huge effort to get excited about growing our own food. I purchased some summer gardening tools and gloves for the kids at Hobby Lobby(half off of course;)) a few weeks ago and started getting our garden ready not too long ago. So far my kids are digging it! (Get it… digging it!) Anyways I’ve been trying to think of other ways to get them excited about spring/gardening and I came across this garden yoga poses for kids. How fun is this!

Then I started to look for books that might pique their interest as well and I came across several from Usborne Books … haha isn’t that lucky! Here are some titles below that I think look super fun, educational and might really help my kiddos get interested!

With the adorable and fun yoga poses, the new child size gardening tools and these awesome books, I think we will be gardening like maniacs by April.

Here’s to happy gardening!

Free Books…. Say What?

hostess party

So as you know I officially have an Usborne online store and would love to give you all some free books! Do you have Facebook? Do you have friends that know kids? Do you love free stuff?

If you answered yes to all three questions then you may want to host a party for Usborne. You will get $20 in free books of your choice if you can get 20 people to rsvp to your fb party and double hostess rewards if they choose to place orders. When I hosted a party for the first time before I was a consultant I earned $80 in free books and $75 in half off books!! It was amazing. And $20 dollars on top of that is even better!

The task is simple. I prepare everything and run the entire party and you just contact your friends and invite them if they are interested! Facebook parties are the absolute best because you can sit from the comfort of your own home in your pj’s and pretty much do what you would normally do!! And if this helps over half of Usborne books are $9.99 or less so you could get a ton of books as long as you get those friends there and at least some of them place orders. But you get $20 free as long as they just rsvp!!!

Here’s a little sneak peak at Usborne books… Usborne Books Site . Here you can contact me if you are interested in hosting, You can also look through all the books here and even place an order. Please comment if have questions or interested in finding out more!!

Can’t wait to hear from you…

Here are some awesome books from Usborne
